Unable to conceive but...

yet, here we are...after the birth of her first set of cubs on August 7th 2017, Syla gave birth to her second litter of two on August 22nd 2018. One cub was consumed by Syla. The female cub who survived was named by the new Mayor of Bandung.

It was claimed by zoo protectionist Sybelle Foxcroft of Cee4Life that Syla was "diagnosed with being highly unlikely of being able to conceive" and the birth of the first litter were a "surprised birth"

Syla is on loan from Maharani Zoo to the Bandung Zoo for a 3 years breeding program. Foxcroft continues to deny that there is a big cats breeding program in the zoo!

Negligent as always!

The Bandung Zoo remains disgusting as always - one of their orangutans was captured on camera by a visitor, chewing on a plastic bottle.

Primates chewing on plastic and other zoo animals ingesting plastic is a common occurrence in Indonesia's zoos.

Majority of the Indonesia's zoos animals are not sufficiently fed.
