Orangutans addicted to nicotine?

We received shocking news from a good samaritan who is an animal advocate about an endangered orangutan caught smoking on camera

https://www.instagram.com/aneuuunyuna/ (this video link has disappeared) but here is one that works
https://www.dropbox.com/preview/smokingorangutanjune202018.mp4

The video was captured by a family who was very distressed by what they saw. You could hear them shouting at the orangutan, "buang", "Oi buang", "buang" (meaning throw away) desperately urging the orangutan to discard the cigarettes. At one point the orangutan picked up a second cigarette, swallowed and chewed at it whilst smoking the other cigarette. It then inhaled the smoke and exhaled through its nostrils. The lady let out a cry "Aduh" (Oh!) in horror at what she saw. Sincerest thanks to this family for capturing this They tagged the Mayor of Bandung about this. The Mayor and his wife are foster parents to the female orangutan Cinta Lestari who was born in September 2017 into a life of captive misery and exploitation.

Orangutan smoking in the Bandung Zoo is not an isolated case. If you remember, back in March 4th 2018, Ozone the endangered orangutan was also caught on camera smoking.

Are the orangutans in the Bandung Zoo addicted to nicotine? Both orangutans are very apt in smoking the cigarette. What will be the management's excuse this time? "The guard went on his break"?

Forcing animals for selfies is NOT education!

This is what the binturongs are subjected to on a daily basis https://www.facebook.com/tribunjabar/videos/10155404500982353/ Watch minute marker 3.30.

and here are some picture samples of the Bandung Zoo "educational" service to the public where they corrupt young impressionable minds and fool the public into thinking they are being "educated"

Bandung Zoo entrance fees is almost doubled

Bandung Zoo has hiked their entrance fees from IDR 25,000 to IDR 40,000. This fee does not include animal rides. The exploitation of innocent animals for profit continues.

No starving animals in Bandung Zoo?

Starving animals in the Bandung Zoo can be found dating back to 2014. It most likely dates back further as the Bandung Zoo has a history of bad practices. This recorded evidence of  an emaciated looking water buffalo was taken by a visitor to the zoo.

When this poor emaciated looking water buffalo was revealed in "Shut Down Bandung Zoo now" petition update, Cee4life/Sybelle Foxcroft, the English speaking partner for the Bandung Zoo as always, protected the zoo and lied. (This excerpt was taken from Cee4life response to the petition update in their face book page) Here is what she said:

"We really dont know where this buffalo is from. Its a very old photo by the looks of it, but those types of bars with the fencing isnt in Bandung. There's a possibility that it was there, but would have to be many years ago. No one knows about the buffalo"..."We at Cee4life can tell you that while we have been at the zoo, we've never seen this animal. However just to be certain that for some unknown reason we may have missed this very large animal after being there for the last year..... we have double checked with the Veterinarians and can confirm that nobody knows about this animal or where it comes from. But it is certainly not in Bandung Zoo and no one recognises this animal or where it is from. We cant even confirm this is Bandung Zoo as the enclosure its in looks nothing like what is there for the bovine animals"

Does Cee4life really believe that an emaciated looking water buffalo could still be alive??? It is not an old photo, the date 23rd July 2014 can be clearly seen on the side of the picture!

The picture above showed that the water buffalo's enclosure is situated next to the camels' enclosure.

Below is the original picture of water buffalo and take note of the yellow buildings and camel's trough and camel circled, in yellow.

The picture below shows the camels' enclosure looking into the water buffalo's enclosure. Note the arrows pointing at the camel's trough, yellow building and the type of enclosure next to the camels'enclosure where Sybelle Foxcroft said, "those type of bars with the fencing isnt in Bandung"

Q.E.D! I rest my case.
